Overview
The WHO QualityRights Training: Humanitarian Edition provides practical guidance and tools to support the delivery of person-centred, recovery-oriented and human rights-based mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in humanitarian and emergency settings.
Adapted from the original WHO QualityRights training materials, this edition responds to the specific challenges faced in humanitarian contexts and supports actors and stakeholders to strengthen rights-based practice and develop practical QualityRights action plans within their work and organizations.
The training package
The WHO QualityRights Training: Humanitarian Edition consists of the following components:
- Day 1: Human rights
- Day 2: Mental health, disability and human rights; legal capacity and the right to decide
- Day 3: Legal capacity (continued) and recovery and the right to health
- Day 4: Freedom from violence, coercion and abuse
- Day 5: QualityRights action planning in humanitarian settings
